Issue Position

One of my political heroes, President Ronald Reagan, once said, "Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same."
Freedom is the foundational premise for what I believe. Protecting your freedoms will be my primary concern.

In Fort Smith, elections have rarely been determined by political ideology, and more often than not, on sheer popularity. I have run and am running a campaign of ideas, and hope to legislate in a similar fashion. I will be a representative of Fort Smith, and in doing so, will be there to make your voice heard and make our collective voice important. I think Fort Smith has been overlooked for too long, and it is time that we sent people to Little Rock who are effective while standing on principle. It is time that we elected people who recognize where we are and will work together to help us return to a prominent role as a leader in the state!

Here are a few things that I stand for and will pledge to do all I can to enact or support...
*Reducing the size of state government
*Economic Development and the legislation that will aid in the creation of jobs
*Supporting pro-family legislation
*Improving education and making sure our teachers get what they need to be successful without burdening them with bureaucracy
*Helping keep more of what we earn in our own accounts and reducing the tax burden
*Governmental transparency and openness
*Recognizing the impact small business plays in our economy and looking for ways to incentivize more growth
*Protecting our children from those who prey on them
*Seeing real action on I-49 in our lifetimes
*Supporting UA-Fort Smith in their role
*Protecting individual property rights
*Enforcement of immigration laws

National issues:
*Pro 2nd Amendment
*Pro-life
*Pro-capitalism
*Pro-real health care reform
*No to Deficit spending
